Ask Reboot
Ask Reboot is a demo project for a new user model I'm developing. Completely spec'd out with AJAX calls and User conditionals this is one of the strongest user models you can follow.
As a user browses the application, the application determines what to display based on what the user is looking for. If they are searching for an item and the results only exist in two categories, only those two categories will be displayed. On top of that, if an item is closed, no comments can be added. If an item is open, users can post comments. A common model, with a few tweaks to fully utilize user navigation and demand.
The AJAX functions used on this project play a strong role, defining the users actions as the GUI changes and adjusts with the users demands. Rather than utilizing AJAX as a form of making the site aesthetically pleasing, it's role is to make the users experience one of the best.
You can expect Ask Reboot to launch late in the summer of 2008.
